Snowmachiner dies in rollover

FAIRBANKS -- Alaska State Troopers reported that Fredrik Burk, 20, of Fairbanks died after rolling his snowmachine about 8 p.m. Saturday night near the Chena Lake Recreation Area.

Troopers said Burk was riding with several friends in the North Pole area. They had been drinking alcohol through the evening, troopers said. Burk's friends lost contact with him and then discovered him unconscious on the side of the trail. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
